EMF EURO 2022 in Košice is to be an important and groundbreaking tournament for the popularity of Minifootball in Europe and in the world. The program, atmosphere, quality and staff will therefore be at a high level.

"It will be an exceptional event that we want to make into the history of Minifootball. I can say that Minifootball in Europe has not yet experienced such a tournament. In addition to excellent football, a great show, accompanying program and excellent music await players and fans in Košice. We have something to look forward to," - revealed Peter Králik.

As Ivo Buchel stated, the full stadium is also a modest wish of the players:

"We believe that the Steel Arena will be sold out at every match. I don't think any of our boys have ever experienced such a backdrop, and some of them played football in higher competitions or even represented Slovakia in futsal. Personally, I'm already looking forward to the championship."

The famous Slovak football referee Ľuboš Micheľ will honor the championship with his participation. Arbiter, who whistled in the Champions League finals, the UEFA Cup, the Intercontinental Cup and a number of other prestigious international matches, ended his active career as a referee in 2008. He is now trying it internationally in a different sport.

"I took it as such a new adventure and a new challenge. I have no doubt that it will be a nice event and that a lot of fans will come to Košice. Minifootballl is interesting because it is dynamic, it is played in a smaller space, more goals are scored, so it is more attractive for the spectators. I believe that we will all enjoy this tournament," said Ľuboš Micheľ.

The trophies for the most successful EMF EURO 2022 teams in Košice were also officially presented at Monday's press conference. The author of the cup design for future European champions is the graphic artist Marek Jurčiak. The trophy consists of several pentagons that evoke pieces of the surface of a soccer ball.

The official mascot of the championship got its name. It was chosen by fans in a vote on the Facebook page of the betting office Niké, which is the general partner of the event. Of the three options, people eventually named the rabbit Niko.
